Meet Julia

Growing up immersed in nature nurtured a deep appreciation for the natural world and a profound spiritual connection. The woods, creeks, and lakes became both a sanctuary and a canvas for exploration, allowing me to navigate both inner and outer landscapes. In these wild spaces, I discovered the innate gift of healing woven into the fabric of nature itself. Among the trees and beneath the stars, I felt a connection to something far greater than myself, fostering and nurturing my ability to heal and guide others.

Raised in a nurturing and supportive family, I was given the foundation to explore my passions and cultivate a meaningful path. My love for the outdoors led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Recreation and Education, followed by years of experience as a wilderness guide and educator. Immersing myself in nature deepened my understanding of holistic living, and I became an organic gardener, embracing sustainable practices to live in harmony with the land.

This journey of connection and balance eventually led me to the practices of yoga and Ayurveda. Drawn to their teachings, I traveled extensively to learn from ancestral wisdom traditions around the world. In Aotearoa, I studied indigenous healing arts and experienced the powerful energy of the land-its hot springs, glaciers, rivers, and volcanic landscapes. In the Mediterranean, I explored ancient sites steeped in history, where sacred ruins, monasteries, and amphitheaters told stories of the past. My travels then took me to Asia, where I completed a yoga teacher training in Thailand and further immersed myself in indigenous cultures before continuing my Ayurvedic studies in India.

India became a pivotal point in my journey. Studying Ayurveda in the East opened my eyes to a way of life where spirituality and daily wellness practices are seamlessly woven into everyday routines. Ayurveda is not merely a system of medicine but a philosophy that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit through devotion, awareness, and connection to the natural elements. Living in India, I deepened my understanding of sacred traditions, exploring ancient temples, participating in rituals, and working with the elements in ways that foster transformative healing and self-discovery.

My introduction to Ayurveda came during a retreat when I was searching for natural ways to heal myself. This initial exposure deepened during my yoga training, where I became increasingly drawn to its wisdom. My journey then took me to India, where I immersed myself in Ayurvedic studies, learning from traditional practitioners and experiencing firsthand the integration of Ayurveda into daily life. Over time, I realized my calling to help others reconnect with their authentic nature and find balance in their lives. My approach is rooted in deep listening and presence, guiding individuals toward alignment with their natural rhythms and inner wisdom.

Many who have worked with me describe experiencing a sense of relief, clarity, and renewal. I believe in the power of simple, intentional practices to create meaningful shifts and in the beauty of aligning with nature’s cycles to cultivate true well-being. I am honored to share this journey with those seeking to find harmony within themselves and the world around them.
